Global Network of Women's Shelters

GNWS Foundation

The Global Network of Women’s Shelters (GNWS) is a network organization. In 2014 the GNWS-Foundation was founded as a legal entity in the Hague (KvK-number 61783536). Goal of the Foundation is to support the Global Network of Women’s Shelters and it’s regional networks and in this way contribute to the elimination of Violence against Women and their children.

The Foundation works with a team of volunteers. One of the board members is coordinator of the team of volunteers.

For the first 3 years (till December 1 2017) the Foundation was financially supported by a contribution of the city of The Hague. The Foundation will look for donations and sponsors to be able to continue to support the Global Network of Women’s Shelters. That’s why the Foundation recently applied for the ANBI status which makes it possible for Dutch sponsors to get a tax advantage when they sponsor the GNWS Foundation.
